Girard-Perregaux unveils two refined Laureato 38mm models

Known for its octagonal bezel, the Laureato by Girard-Perregaux now comes in two 38mm models with elevated bezels set with diamonds and sapphires
Girard-Perregaux expands the Laureato collection with two striking 38 mm timepieces that push the boundaries of haute horlogerie through refined gem-setting. These latest executions reinterpret the signature octagonal bezel with intricate details.

The first model’s bezel is adorned with 32 baguette-cut diamonds — each meticulously set, preserving the clean geometry of the bezel. The octagon bezel subtly flares at its corners, allowing for variations in stone size without disrupting visual harmony. Beneath this dazzling frame lies a dial in white gold, finished with the traditional Clous de Paris motif.

Unlike other models in the line, the text has been eliminated from 4 to 8 o’clock, giving the dial room to breathe and allowing the texture and materials to take center stage. White gold indices and an applied GP logo echo the bezel’s materiality.

The second model introduces a dynamic transition, crafted for those drawn to more expressive aesthetics. Its bezel features a total of 56 brilliant-cut stones—10 diamonds and 46 sapphires. Starting with diamonds at 6 o’clock, the gemstones gradually deepen in hue and scale as they rise toward 12 o’clock, shifting through a gradient of blue sapphires.

The progression is seamless, and the corner-set larger stones subtly accentuate the Laureato’s iconic octagonal form. The dial here takes on a grey base with the same Clous de Paris texture, but with electric blue accents in the text.

Both timepieces are powered by the in-house automatic calibre GP03300, assembled at Girard-Perregaux’s La Chaux-de-Fonds manufacture. This movement comprises 218 components and 27 jewels, and offers a power reserve of 46 hours.

Polished and satin-brushed surfaces play with light, echoing the bezel’s gem-set brilliance and reinforcing the collection’s reputation for tactile sophistication, the timepieces are now available worldwide.
