Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Polaris collection was revived in 2018 to celebrate the Memovox watch's 50th anniversary. Since then, the collection has stayed rooted in the Maison’s heritage of 1960s diving watches. In 2025, the collection welcomes an addition: The Polaris Chronograph with a striking Ocean Grey lacquer dial.
The Polaris Chronograph
This 42 mm steel chronograph carries the Polaris signature design codes—taut lines, sharply curving lugs, thin bezel, glass-box crystal, and a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. The hours are marked by Arabic numerals (12 and 6) and trapezoid-shaped indexes. A large crown at 3 o’clock and pushers at 2 and 4 o’clock enhance usability. The chronograph’s 30-minute counter is at 3 o’clock, and running seconds at 9 o’clock. Skeletonised hands with luminescent coating indicate the time.
The new Ocean Grey dial is composed of three layers
The new Ocean Grey dial is composed of three layers—a central disc, hour ring, and outer tachymeter ring—and also showcases a dynamic interplay of textures: sunray brushing, high gloss, and circular graining. The gradient lacquer finish is achieved through meticulous manual layering—30 coats in total. Aesthetically, the bright orange accents on the sub-dials and tachymeter reinstate the sporty look of the timepiece.
Inside beats the in-house Calibre 761 movement, featuring a column-wheel, vertical clutch chronograph, twin barrels, and a 65-hour power reserve. Visible through the sapphire case back, it displays Côtes de Genève finishing, blued screws, and a skeletonised rotor with the ‘JL’ logo.

Two interchangeable straps—a blue-grey canvas and a black textured rubber—complete this sporty yet elegant timepiece, making it as versatile as it is refined.
