Victorinox introduces its new Air Pro GMT Automatic

The Air Pro GMT Automatic displays two time zones in addition to the local time
With the Air Pro GMT Automatic, Victorinox expands its professional pilot’s watch line with a timepiece engineered for today’s global traveller. Designed for frequent flyers, commuters, and those navigating multiple time zones, it balances durability, precision, and contemporary styling.

True to the heritage of pilot’s watches, legibility takes center stage in the watch. The Air Pro GMT Automatic features oversized hands and applied numerals enhanced with Super-LumiNova®, ensuring exceptional readability in all lighting conditions. A practical GMT function—a long a hallmark of aviation timepieces—adds to its utility, making it an indispensable companion both in the cockpit and on the ground.

Ready for takeoff
With the rise of intercontinental flights in the 1950s, the need for a dual time zone display arose, prompting several watch brands, most notably Rolex with the GMT Master, to create such timezone models. While they were initially worn primarily by professional pilots, they soon gained a fan base in the civilian watch world as well. The Air Pro GMT Automatic displays two time zones in addition to the local time: One via the ring of cities on the edge, and another via the scale on the bezel. It is operated using two crowns: The one at 4 o'clock is responsible for the main time, and the one at 2 o'clock controls the GMT function. There is also a date display at 6 o'clock, reminiscent of the controls in a cockpit.

Robust housing
The 43 mm stainless steel case is shock-resistant and water-resistant to 200 metres, making the watch equally suitable for sporting activities and everyday wear. The tool-free strap changing system is particularly practical: Three models in the collection feature newly designed rubber straps, while another comes with a redesigned stainless steel bracelet.
