Breitling has introduced two new perpetual-calendar chronographs under the Navitimer collection. These models present the watch in its most advanced form and are inspired by high-altitude aviation.
The new Navitimer B19 models are powered by Breitling’s manufacture Caliber B19. This movement was first introduced in 2024 during the brand’s 140th anniversary. It combines a chronograph with a perpetual calendar that automatically adjusts for leap years and different month lengths. The movement also includes a moonphase display. It has a power reserve of 96 hours and is certified as a chronometer by the COSC. Adjustments can be made through the crown and pushers on the case.
One version of the watch is made in platinum and is limited to 75 pieces. It has a blue dial inspired by high-altitude skies and is paired with a black and white slide rule. It comes with a blue alligator strap. The second version is made in stainless steel with a platinum bezel. It has an anthracite dial and is available with a brown alligator strap or a steel bracelet.
Both 43 mm watches share the same design structure. The dials include subdials framed with metal rings, a moonphase display at 12 o’clock, and a slide rule. The cases feature a knurled bezel.
Over time, the Navitimer has been worn by people outside aviation, including Miles Davis, Serge Gainsbourg, Graham Hill, and Jim Clark. With these two models, Breitling continues to develop the Navitimer by combining its original purpose with more advanced watchmaking.
