Daring to explore another tangent of time, the Maison Hermès offered a wholesome experience at at the SIHH. The first day of one of the most-awaited events of the year opened its doors to a combination of technological mastery and artistic talents.
“We want to awaken a playful relationship with time through an object that is true to its function, explains Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès Artistic Director. We create timepieces stemming from the mastery of numerous skills and reflecting a serene perspective on time/serene vision of time.”
The new reveal, a reinterpretation of the first Carré H introduced back in 2010, was displayed in glass cube “private spaces”. The updated timepiece comes in two versions of 38mm x 38mm – a grey dial and a black dial. Both the dials feature cross hatch right-angled guilloché work in the centre.
