H. Moser & Cie. introduces three new and distinct Retrograde Seconds watches across collections

The watches join the three different collections: Pioneer, Streamliner, and Endeavour
Following the success of the Pioneer Retrograde Seconds in 2024, H. Moser & Cie. has now unveiled three new interpretations of the complication: the Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds, Streamliner Retrograde Seconds and Endeavour Retrograde Seconds. Each watch features a 30-second retrograde seconds display, with the hand sweeping across an arc before snapping back to zero, but the three 40 mm models approach the mechanism through distinct design languages. While the Pioneer Skeleton emphasises the architecture of its movement, the Streamliner integrates the display into a fluid, modern design, and the Endeavour offers a more restrained interpretation.

Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds

Housed in a 40 mm stainless steel case, the Pioneer Skeleton Retrograde Seconds puts its movement at the forefront through an extensively skeletonised construction. The openworked bridges and wheels create a layered visual arrangement, with anthracite finishes contrasting against the gold-toned hands and hour markers. The exposed architecture gives the watch a technical character, while the retrograde seconds hand introduces movement across the open dial. The watch is presented on a stainless steel bracelet and is also supplied with a khaki rubber strap, offering an alternative to its metallic finish.

Streamliner Retrograde Seconds
The Streamliner Retrograde Seconds takes a more contemporary approach to the complication. Its Midnight Blue fumé dial is paired with the collection’s characteristic fluid case contours and integrated stainless steel bracelet. Positioned at 6 o’clock, the retrograde seconds display provides a focal point without disrupting the dial’s overall composition. The hand’s instantaneous return to zero contrasts with the continuous curves of the case and bracelet. A transparent lacquer logo further maintains the dial’s uncluttered appearance, allowing the fumé finish and seconds display to take centre stage.

Endeavour Retrograde Seconds
The Endeavour Retrograde Seconds offers a more understated expression of the complication. Its 40 mm stainless steel case frames a Blackor fumé dial, whose changing tones add depth to the minimalist design. The retrograde seconds display at 6 o’clock introduces a distinctive mechanical element, while the transparent lacquer logo keeps the dial visually restrained. In contrast to the openworked Pioneer Skeleton and the integrated design of the Streamliner, the Endeavour places greater emphasis on the relationship between the dial, its finishes and the movement of the seconds hand.

The Pioneer Skeleton model is powered by the fully skeletonised HMC 251 Manufacture self-winding calibre, integrating a 30-second retrograde complication developed by the brand, while the Streamliner and Endeavour models are powered by the HMC 252 Manufacture self-winding calibre with 30-second retrograde module developed by Agenhor SA.
