During an age when people are changing – or rather upgrading – their gadgets every year and printed books are being replaced by battery powered literature displays, hardware hacker Jaap Meijer has come up with a way to convert your old Kindle in to a clock. Turns out, if you hack into your Kindle and install this software which replaces the operating system with a clock program.
Every day, your Kindle will display a new image with a quote mentioning the time, like so.
The brains behind the hack, Meijers, has posted full and clear directions for the process if you’d like to try to recreate your own.
