An Unexpected Canvas

Edgy, unique and almost blasphemous, Graham launches the new Chronofighter Grand Vintage Ltd – I Shot The Sheriff timepiece. Read on to find out what this watch is all about.

There is no question that Graham is one of those independent watch brands that thrives on its provocative creativity and “devil may care” attitude. Its CEO Eric Loth is a man who is not afraid of speaking his mind. His continuous challenge against tradition and history has made Graham the kind of brand which might not be approved by masses but definitely has a dedicated and committed following.

This year around, Graham takes its edgy expression of creativity to a new level by creating an unexpected canvas for laser engravings – the sapphire crystal on the dial! Isn't that amazing? The new Chronofighter Grand Vintage Ltd – I Shot The Sheriff features a sapphire crystal engraved with “I Shot The Sheriff” with a gold (4N) Sheriff star. This is tribute to the cult song by Jamaican reggae singer and songwriter Bob Marley. Popularised by English rock guitarist Eric Clapton in 1974, the song was first released in 1973 and marked the merging of English and Jamaican music.

“The song has multiple layers and we do not know even today its original intent. But its destiny is very interesting. It marked all young aficionados by exposing the merge of English and Jamaican music. People united under the same melody of liberation, creativity and the importance of sharing cultures. Thank you Bob and Eric, you made us a new world of music!” Eric Loth, CEO, Graham Watches.
