Czapek & Cie. unveils limited edition Faubourg de Cracovie with aventurine dial

Czapek & Cie.has unveiled its latest Faubourg de Cracovie timepiece with an aventurine dial, limited to just 50 pieces.
There are few elements that can replicate the beauty of the starry night sky on the dial the way aventurine can. Aventurine glass, commonly known as goldstone, creates a glittering effect and is made of silica, copper oxide, and other metal oxides. The latest watchmaker to highlight the material is Czapek & Cie., who has unveiled its new Faubourg de Cracovie chronograph model featuring an aventurine dial at the Watch Time New York show. The watch is limited to 50 pieces.

The chronograph has a minutes sub-dial at 3 o'clock, small seconds at 6'clock along with a date window (not seen in this model), and the hours sub-dial at 9 o'clock. The subdials are rapporté, which means the chronograph counters are fixed inside the hours and minutes dial.

Following in the footsteps of two 18-piece limited edition chronometres that Czapek released this year in the Faubourg de Cracovie collection, the newly launched model gets the same 41.5mm stainless steel case but this time it comes on a dark blue aventurine dial unlike the previous variants that got Purple Panda and California Blue dials.

The new limited edition timepiece gets rhodium-plated, arrow-shaped steel hands, applied trapezoidal shaped hour markers, and an Arabic numeral hour marker at 12. The chronograph has a minutes sub-dial at 3 o'clock, a small seconds sub-dial at 6'clock, and hours sub-dial at 9 o'clock. These are made with three different parts and fixed inside the hours and minutes dial.

This timepiece has sandblasted, diamond-blasted, anthracite bridges. The watch gets the same Calibre SXH3 automatic movement that powered its previous models with the same 65-hour power reserve and 5Hz frequency.

There are two stainless steel pushers at 2 o’clock and 4 o’clock to start and restart the chronograph function respectively
