Dubai Watch Week 2023: Frederique Constant creates two novelties with musician The Avener

The brand has collaborated with the French music artist to unveil two limited-edition Highlife X The Avener timepieces at Dubai Watch Week 2023
The partnership between Frederique Constant and the French music producer The Avener first started in 2022, leading to the creation of two timepieces in the Highlife Collection inspired by the artist’s music. Now two new watches have been released at Dubai Watch Week 2023 that strengthen the association. Coming in a 39mm steel case, the timepieces are a limited edition of 432 pieces each. The number denotes 432Hz, which is considered to be a perfect frequency by musicians.

The first timepiece (Ref. FC-303TA3NH6B) in a brushed and polished stainless steel three-part case has a black dial with matte finishing and a design printed in the centre that features a sonic wave pattern of frequencies in dark blue recorded on a studio console. The applied indexes and hour and minute hands are also made of stainless steel and filled with a black luminous treatment. The six o’clock features the date aperture. Flanking the case is the same steel bracelet that can be interchanged with an additional black rubber strap.

The second (Ref. FC-303TA3DNH6) is an all-black piece crafted in sandblasted stainless steel three-part case with black DLC coating, the colour reminiscent of the late-night music sets played by the artist. The matte black dial features a printed concentric sonic wave pattern. The indexes and hands are similar to the other model and the date window as well lies at 6. This timepiece comes with a black rubber strap with an additional black nubuck leather strap.

Both timepieces are driven by automatic FC-303 calibre offering a 38-hour power reserve. The movement is decorated with a diamond collimaçon pattern which can be seen through the sapphire caseback. Both offer water resistance up to 100 metres.

The watches come inside a curated gift box with a black interior that takes cues from a flight case used by music artists when on tours. The watch is presented along with an additional strap and a limited edition plate.
