Frederique Constant’s new Classics Moneta Moonphase watches are inspired by coin design

The design of fluted edge of a coin is reflected on the flange of all three timepieces
Swiss watchmaker Frederique Constant expands its Classics collection with three new Classics Moneta Moonphase novelties in blue (Ref. FC-206N3S6), black (Ref. FC-206B3S6), or silver (Ref. FC-206S3S6) dial. As their name indicates, the 37mm stainless steel timepieces feature a fluted inner bezel, an iconic feature of Geneva's watchmaking tradition. Further, the novelties entail a moon phase display at 6 o’clock, which remains modern and affordable thanks to the FC-206 quartz movement with a five-year power reserve.

With the Classics Moneta Moonphase, the Geneva manufacturer shows that luxury does not have to be unaffordable. This watch is the result of a vision that aims to blur the differences between mechanical and quartz watches. By deliberately omitting a second hand, it remains unclear whether a mechanical or quartz movement is providing the power - the focus here is on aesthetics and harmony .

The watch offers everything you would expect from a high-quality timepiece: a sunray dial, two elegantly shaped dauphine hands and applied indices that, in combination with the fluted flange, create a subtle connection to the coinage. This fine guilloché gives the watch its special texture and depth.
The moon phase display, a highlight of traditional watchmaking, is located at 6 o'clock. The circular, guilloché cutout frames the moon phase and is rounded off by the "Swiss Made" signature. Hand-polished hands and applied indices blend seamlessly into the exclusive overall picture. The calf leather strap , which is available in black, navy blue or brown, is rounded off by a fine quilted seam that perfectly complements the color of the dial or the leather.

The watches are priced at Rs. 1,02,000 (approx.)
