Universal Geneve announces a new website and social media channels

The dedicated website will allow watch connoisseurs to preview and access the brand’s latest launches
Founded in 1894 by Numa-Émile Descombes and Ulysse-Georges Perret, Universal Genève is known for its illustrious history, innovative design, craftsmanship, and pioneering works as well as for its storied legacy, noted in the 1960s advertisements as “Couturier de la Montre”. The brand has now been revived by Breitling and we are already anticipating a lot more about its grand comeback. Ahead of that, the brand has announced a dedicated website and social media channels to help watch lovers access the brand’s latest news.

The latest website is a collaborative effort by an advisory board made up of approximately twenty of the brand’s collectors, watch industry veterans along with industry press. “This is a beloved brand with an active community. Our advisory board is working with us to build the brand in a modern way while remaining true to the considerable heritage of Universal Genève,” says Gregory Bruttin, Managing Director of Universal Genève. “The new Universal Genève website and social media pages offer an exciting glimpse of what’s to come for Universal Genève,” Bruttin adds.

The new website will also be home to UG Magazine. One can head on over to this website to read and explore the brand’s history and behind-the-scenes of the brand’s revival. To receive the latest stories, readers can sign up online. 

Universal Geneve Compur Colonial

Universal Genève will also celebrate the 70th anniversary of its legendary Polerouter timepiece with Scandinavian carrier SAS, which commissioned the original timepiece released in 1954. The new releases from the brand are scheduled for the autumn of 2026.
