Founded in 2011, the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève has long highlighted and annually rewarded some of the best creations the watch
industry has seen. Their main aim being the education, welfare, and worldwide enhancement of the art of watchmaking.
The Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève or the GPHG has been serving the industry under the dedicated presidency of Carlo Lamprecht, who took over in 2011, since the inception of the foundation. The year 2018 now welcomes, Raymond Loretan who will be succeeding Lamprecht as the President of the Foundation.
“I wish to continue developing this institution on both national and international levels and to impart fresh momentum, while guaranteeing the strict independence and neutrality of the Grand Prix.”, said Loretan. “I believes the Foundation must explore new modes of cooperation to ensure its sustainability and to continue promoting the reputation of the watch industry both within Switzerland and worldwide.”
