Jaeger-LeCoultre unveils Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day set with diamonds

For the first time, the Rendez-Vous Dazzling collection has a fully diamond-set dial
After the slew of striking gem-set and design-oriented Reversos at Watches and Wonders, Jaeger-LeCoultre is continuing its streak of offering timepieces for women with the launch of two new iterations of the Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day. The timepieces mark the first instance of a Rendez-Vous Dazzling model appearing with a fully diamond-set dial - the references have a bezel consisting of two circles of diamonds, along with the diamond-studded dial featuring Arabic hour markers and a half moon and star aperture at 6 o’clock. The fresh pieces are differentiated by their straps: Ref. Q3432472 has a bright red alligator leather strap, while the Ref. Q3432373 has a pink gold bracelet set entirely with diamonds.

For the first time, the new additions to the Rendez-Vous Dazzling collection feature a dial entirely adorned with grain-set diamonds. The gemstone arrangement consists of concentric circles radiating from the centre of the dial. Hundreds of small gold beads, which anchor the diamonds, ensure symmetry. A total of 590 diamonds (approx. 4.67 carats) have been set on the dial and the case where setting alone took around 58 hours.

The bezel is set with 108 diamonds arranged in two concentric circles. The 36 gemstones that make up the outer ring are held in a claw setting, giving the shimmering circles a particularly airy effect. The case is complemented by a winding crown set with an inverted diamond and three diamonds on each of the four lugs.

It is the Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 898 that beats inside the 36mm case of the Rendez-Vous Dazzling Night & Day, an automatic movement. The transparent sapphire caseback reveals the embellishments and finishes, such as blued screws, circular graining and Côtes de Genève, and a pink gold skeletonized rotor.

As a complication, a day/night indicator mechanism is added, with a polished golden sun and crescent moon alternating on a rotating mother-of-pearl disc against a star-studded backdrop.

In addition to the bright red alligator leather strap, the model is also available with a rose gold Haute Joaillerie bracelet. First designed in 2022 for the Rendez-Vous Dazzling Shooting Star, the bracelet features diamond-shaped links that curve gracefully around the wrist. The links were set with a total of 436 diamonds (4.87 carats), which required a further 80 hours of work. The total number of diamonds is 1,026 diamonds (approx. 9.54 carats).
