The Freelancer RW1212 was first launched by Raymond Weil in 2017, the black and silvery timepiece was equipped with the brand’s first in-house calibre RW1212, partially visible through the face of the watch. The dial featured a minute track on the chapter ring, hour markers at the periphery, and clous de Paris decoration on the central section. Previously appeared in different colour variations like sublime green and a standard blue, is now introduced in the shade of blue.
Limited to only 99 pieces, the new 42mm Freelancer RW1212 Ganges Limited Edition
(Ref. 2780-ST-IND01) is crafted in steel and is topped with a sapphire crystal. Picking up the exact design, the dial appears similar to the previous models except for the colour, which is blue - evocative of the glaciers and the hues of Gangotri. The balance wheel is revealed at 6 o’clock.
On the back the same automatic calibre RW1212 can be seen, along with the perlage and côtes de Genève finish on the oscillating weight; an outline of the map of India in pale blue - highlighting the flow of the River Ganges—in a brighter blue; and other engraved information which include - 20th anniversary, 100m water resistant, limited edition no., reference no., and material. The timepiece has a power reserve of about 38 hours. Finishing the watch is a silver coloured steel bracelet with steel clasp.
The watch is priced at ₹2,55,000 exclusively at Ethos.
