Watches and Wonder 2025: Baume and Mercier reinvent classics in the Riviera, Clifton and Hampton line

At Watches and Wonders 2025, Baume & Mercier unveils exciting new models across its Riviera, Clifton, and Hampton lines, reinventing classic designs with modern twists.
Baume and Mercier is going back in time to create the future. Introducing modern touches of watchmaking in the Riviera collection with four new flying chronographs, three new models in the Clifton line in luxurious variations and the Hampton line returns in a refined and small model.

Four new flying chronographs in the Riviera line

The chronographs come in a 41mm polished and satin-finished steel bezel and a dodecagonal case back secured with four screws topped with an anti-reflective, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal. Finished with an octagonal crown and two pushers.

Riviera M0A10828

A flyback chronograph – Riviera M0A10828 – comes integrated with flyback function, tachymeter, and telemeter scales. Boasting a vintage aesthetic, the timepiece comes in vertically brushed gold dial and sub-dials. The hour and minute hands, coated in beige Superluminova, contrast with the blue steel seconds hand. There is a date window between 4 and 5 o’clock. Powered by a self-winding movement oscillating at a frequency of 4Hz, the watch offers a 42-hour power reserve and water resistance of 10 ATM. This model is a limited edition of 73 pieces, paying tribute to the year the Riviera collection was launched, 1973.

Another model – Riviera M0A10827 – comes in contrasting black-and-white dial and sub-dials. A white dial with a wave decor serves as a base for three black sub-dials: minutes sub-dial at 3 o’clock, hours sub-dial at 6 o’clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock. Equipped with a self-winding movement, this model offers a 48-hour power reserve, oscillates at a frequency of 4 Hz, and offers water resistance to 10 ATM (approximately 100m).

Other two chronographs incline towards a modern aesthetic boasting a sleeker design, the two day-date chronographs come in black (M0A10825) and blue (M0A10826) dial — both featuring an intricate wave-pattern decoration, a calibrated chapter ring, and sunray sub-dials. White accents highlight the indexes, sub-dials, and the day-date display at 3 o’clock. Equipped with a self-winding movement, the black dial version offers a power reserve of 48 hours, while the blue dial version offers a power reserve of 38 hours beating at a frequency of 4Hz.

Three new models in the Clifton line

Clifton Baumatic M0A10778

The brand releases three new models in its Clifton line, inspired by the luxurious seaside resort of Clifton in South Africa , designed for gentlemen out there.  All three variations come in a round 39mm case. The watches in this line feature a distinctive Arabic numeral at 12 o’clock. Following a sleeker design with retro flair, the indexed in this model are sleeker, the date display at 6 o’clock is bigger than previous models of this line. The crown seamlessly blends in the case. All three models are powered by Baumatic manufacture movement (BM13-1975A) and offer five-day power reserve. The movement can be observed through the open case back.

The three new models available are:  Rose gold with a brown alligator strap and off-white grained dial; Stainless steel case with a lacquered blue gradient dial and a blue alligator strap; Opaline salmon dial paired with a black calfskin strap —  A limited edition of 350 pieces.

A dainty Hampton

Hampton M0A10795

Baume & Mercier reintroduces the rectangular Hampton case this year in a refined “small” version, measuring 35 mm x 22.2 mm. True to its Art Deco heritage, the timepiece showcases pure, flowing lines, softened angles, and gently curved lugs—a tribute to an iconic 1960s model. Encased in stainless steel, the minimalist silver opaline dial features only two numerals at 12 and 6 o’clock, complemented by riveted indexes, a precise gray minute track, and a pair of striking blue glaive-shaped hands. A defining touch of sophistication lies in the cabochon-shaped crown, adorned with a blue synthetic spinel that mirrors the hands’ hue. It is mounted on an interchangeable bracelet in black calfskin with an alligator pattern. The strap may be changed without the need for tools thanks to a very reliable spring bar system.  The pin buckle is crafted in stainless steel.
