Piaget unveils a two tone edition of its iconic Polo 79

From dial to bracelet, the watch is crafted in 18K white gold and 18K yellow gold
Introduced in 1979, Piaget Polo was the brand’s first luxury sports watch. Blending mastery in both watchmaking and jewellery the watch was crafted from solid gold, featuring a glamourous integrated bracelet. In 2024, the original Piaget Polo made its comeback as the Polo 79 to celebrate the Maison's 150th anniversary. Now comes the next coup. The new Piaget Polo 79 Two-Tone (Ref. G0A51150) is not a nostalgic exercise, but a cleverly balanced return to its roots.

Yellow and white gold don't meet here for fashionable reasons, but because this very combination has been part of the Maison's DNA since 1979. For the Maison, the precious metal was never merely a material, but a creative foundation – cast, worked, and refined in its own foundry in Geneva. The new two-tone version excels precisely in this: its understated elegance. The brushed white gold case and integrated bracelet appear almost like steel at first glance – until the polished yellow gold of the gadrooning comes into play.

The solid gold dial follows the same logic, complemented by brushed yellow gold hands. Inside beats the Calibre 1200P1, an ultra-thin automatic movement with a micro-rotor and a height of just 2.35 mm. It's not a new movement, but a very deliberately chosen one with a power reserve of approximately 44 hours. Piaget has been building some of the world's thinnest mechanical movements for decades – a prerequisite for both comfort and elegance.

With a diameter of 38 mm , a height of 7.45 mm, and a weight of approximately 200 grams, the Polo 79 Two-Tone sits comfortably and securely on the wrist. The integrated strap is comfortable to wear. The watch is water-resistant to 50 metres and weighs approximately 200 g. Price upon request.

Following the celebrated comeback of the Polo 79 in yellow gold  (GPHG “Iconic Watch” 2024) and the white gold version in 2025, the two-tone version of 2026 is the most logical step: it brings versatility to a line that has always been situated between style, sport and extra elegance.
