Dubai Watch Week 2023: Carl F. Bucherer's Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral ‘Green Paradise’ and Manero Minute Repeater in Titanium

Both the new timepieces from the brand have been designed keeping Dubai’s ultra-modern, urban lifestyle in mind
Carl F. Bucherer’s offerings for Dubai Watch Week 2023 comes by way of two new timepieces within the Manero family, characterised by their peripheral rotor technology. These are the striking Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral ‘Green Paradise’, and the Manero Minute Repeater, executed for the first time in titanium.

A striking green interpretation of the limited-edition watch in black released earlier this year, the 43.1mm 18K white gold Manero Tourbillon Double Peripheral ‘Green Paradise’ (Ref. 00.10928.02.99.11) is a piece unique featuring a sunray dial in lush green, a hue that symbolises the spirit of the Middle-East. Its other eye-grabbing feature is its bezel, which features 40 baguette-cut 3.9K tsavorites, sapphires, and rubies, all arranged in a way so as to create a seamless rainbow formation. This idea is reflected on the dial as well, with 11 baguette-cut tsavorites, sapphires and rubies (each 0.4K) that match the corresponding gemstone on the bezel and serve as hour markers and tell time with the rhodium-plated wedge hands. Lastly, at 12 o’clock is the floating tourbillon, which further elevates timepiece.

The watch is powered by the in-house CFB T3000 movement, with a ‘Double Peripheral’ technology. The first of these is the tourbillon itself, whose peripheral mounting lends to its ‘floating’ appearance. The second peripheral technology is via the automatic winding system, powered by a peripherally mounted oscillating ring, visible through the sapphire caseback. The watch has a power reserve of 65 hours An engraving on the caseback reads ‘UNIQUE PIECE 01/01’.

Water resistant to 30 metres, the watch is paired with a matching green, hand-stitched Louisiana alligator leather strap.

For Dubai Watch Week 2023, Carl F. Bucherer has crafted the ‘piece unique’ Manero Minute Repeater in titanium for the very first time. Paired with an 18K white gold dial with a grained pattern, the watch has rose gold hands and index marks.
The beauty of the 43.8mm Carl F. Bucherer Manero Minute Repeater in titanium (Ref.  00.10925.20.63.99) further lies in its ‘Triple Peripheral’ technology – there is a peripherally mounted automatic winding system, ‘floating’ tourbillon, and a peripherally mounted minute repeater regulator that controls miniature hammers that strike gongs. And of course there is the fact that the titanium case provides a distinct tonality and resonance that sounds clear and ‘bright’ when struck by the hammers.

Entirely designed, developed and manufactured in-house, the movement that powers the watch – the automatic CFB MR3000 caliber – was six years under development, and comprises of 617 individual parts. Its 18K gold peripherally mounted oscillating weight can be viewed through the sapphire case back. The watch is water resistant to 10 meters, and completed with a black hybrid rubber strap with ‘Milky Way’ texture.
